Power Supply Reference
The server has two power supplies. This ensures reduncancy by allowing the server to operate
when one of the power supplies fails. However, when the server is operating on one power
supply, redundancy no longer exists, and the risk for an unexpected shut down and a loss of data
is high. When a power supply or any component that is part of a redundant configuration fails,
replace it immediately.
Power Supply Indicators
Each power supply contains an indicator panel. The following indicators are lit when a power
supply fault is detected:
Front and back Service Action Required indicators
■
Rear PS Fault indicator on the front bezel of the server
■
Service Action Required indicator on the faulty power supply
