Chapter 2 Basic Operation

Use the guiding fabric jig to close the
opening at the aperture plate (8 locations).
• Use the following jig:
(accessory box 1)
Auxiliary moving rollers
(1) Insert the guiding fabric jig into the square
hole of the aperture plate.
(2) Move the aperture plate to the back to close
the opening. (8 locations)

Adjust the size of the opening at the
aperture plate.
(1) Insert the guiding fabric jig vertically between
the aperture plate in the center of the color
fixation device and media in order to
increase the opening at the aperture plate.
• Insert the jig until the auxiliary moving rollers
touch the surface.
(2) Move the guiding fabric jig to the right and
left to adjust the opening size (all aperture
plates).
• Use the thick part under the auxiliary moving
rollers of the guiding fabric jig to adjust the
opening size.
• Do not slant the jig when you move it.
• If the jig hits the screws or some other parts, do
not push the jig inside by force, but rather pull it
out first, move it, and then try to reinsert it.

Retract the feeding side tension bar.

Retract the take-up side tension bar.

Open both right and left AMF covers on the
feeding side.
