Open the cover [1e], and remove the jammed paper and all paper loaded in the Inserter.
Important • When two or more sheets of paper are loaded, remove all of the sheets from the tray.

Align all four corners of the removed paper neatly, and then reload the paper.

Push the cover [1e] until it clicks into place and close it.

Paper Jams in the Transport Unit V1

The following describes how to clear paper jams inside the Transport Unit V1 when the C3
Finisher (optional) or the C3 Finisher with Booklet Maker (optional) is installed.

• If paper is torn, check for any torn pieces of
paper inside the machine.
• A message will be displayed and the machine
will not operate if the cover is even slightly
open.
• If paper is torn, check for any torn pieces of
paper inside the machine.
• If a paper jam occurs frequently, reduce the
air volume of the Catch Tray Fan (optional).
When you use paper of 80 gsm or less, for
example, set the volume at the "Zero" (turning
fully the knob to the left) or at the "Low"
(turning the knob from the "Zero" to the right
by 90 degrees).
• When you use coated or heavyweight paper, printed sheets output into the tray are more prone to
stick together in environments with high temperatures or when a large number of sheets are output.
Adjusting the air volume of the Catch Tray Fan (optional) prevents paper from sticking together.
For information on how to adjust air volume, refer to the user documentation attached to the Catch
Tray Fan.
