If you have host devices that do not support GVRP, you should configure static or untagged
VLANs for the switch ports connected to these devices But you can still enable GVRP on
these edge switches, as well as on the core switches in the network.
Description
Port number.
Set the VLAN membership mode of the port.
None The port operates in its normal VLAN mode.
(This is the default.)
802.1Q Tunnel Configures IEEE 802.1Q tunneling (QinQ) for a client
access port to segregate and preserve customer VLAN IDs
for traffic crossing the service provider network.
802.1Q Tunnel Configures IEEE 802.1Q tunneling (QinQ) for an uplink port
Uplink to another device within the service provider network.
Default: None
The Tag Protocol Identifier (TPID) specifies the ethertype of incoming packets
on a tunnel access port.
Range: 0800-FFFF hexadecimal
(Default: 8100)
Shows if a port is a member or a trunk.
