Parking Brake Switch Test

Remove the center console, and disconnect the
connector (A)from the switch (B).
Check for continuity between the positive terminal
(C) and body ground:
. With the brake lever up, there should be
continuity.
' With the brake lever down. there should be no
continuity.
NOTE (Canada); lf the parking brake switch is OK,
but the brake system indicator does not work, do
the input test for the daytime running lights control
unit {see page 22-66).
Brake Fluid Level Switch Test
Check for continuity between the terminals (A) with the
float in the down position and the up position.
. Remove the brake fluid completely from the reservoir.
With the float down, there should be continuity.

the float up, there should be no continuity.
