SRS Unit Replacement
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait at
least 3 minutes before beginning work.
2. Disconnect the airbag connectors and seat belt
tensioner connectors (see page 23- 16).
3. Remove the center console (see page 20-76) and
audio unit (see page 22-89).
4 , D i s c o n n e c t t h e S R S u n i t 1 8 P c o n n e c t o r ( A ) f r o m t h e
S R S u n i t ( B ) .
Remove the three Torx bolts (A) from the SRS
then Dull out the SRS unit from the bracket.

lnstallation
1 . I n s t a l l t h e n e w S R S u n i t ( A ) w i t h T o r x b o l t s ( B ) , t h e n
connect the SRS unit 18P connector (C) to the SRS
uniU push it into position until it clicks.
NOTE: When tightening the Torx bolts to the
specified torque after replacement. be careful to
t u r n t h e m i n s o t h a t t h e i r h e a d s r e s t s q u a r e l y o n t h e
brackets.
R e i n s t a l l t h e c e n t e r c o n s o l e ( s e e p a g e 2 0 - 7 6 ) a n d
a u d i o u n i t ( s e e p a g e 2 2 - 8 9 ) .
Reconnect the airbag connectors and seat belt
t e n s i o n e r c o n n e c t o r s ( s e e p a g e 2 3 - 1 6 ) .
Reconnect the battery negative cable.
After installing the SRS unit, confirm proper system
operation: Turn the ignition switch ON (ll); the SRS
indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and
t h e n g o O F F .
