8. Insert the inlake and exhaust valves in the head and
measure valve stem installed height (A).
Intake Valve Stem Installed Height:
Standard (New): 44.1 - 44.4 mm
{1.736 - 1.748 in.)
Service Limit: 44.7 mm 11.760 in.)
Exhaust Valve Stem Installed Height:
Standard (New): 44.2 44.5 mm
{1.740 - 1.752 in.)
Service Limit:
44.8 mm (1.764 in.)
lf valve stem installed height is over the service
limit, replace the valve and recheck. lf it is still over
the service limit, replace the cylinder head; the
valve seat in the head is too deeD.
