Differential Removal
Special Tools Required
Ball joint remover,2S mm 07N4AC-S100200
1. Make a reference marks across the propeller shaft,
the transmission, and the rear differential, then
remove the propeller shaft (see page 16-17).
2. Remove the cotter pin from the lower arm ball joint
castle nut, and remove the nut.
NOTE:
. T o a v o i d d a m a g i n g t h e b a l l j o i n t , i n s t a l l a h e x n u t
on to the threads of the ball joint.
. Be careful not to damage the ball jointbootwhen
installing the remover,

Separate the ball joint from the lower arm with the
special tool (see page 18- 10).
Remove the ABS sensor harness from the upper
a r m .

5. Make a reference marks (A) across the inboard ioint
(B) and the rear differential (C).
Remove the six inboard joint mounting bolts (D)
and nuts (E), then remove the inboard joinl from
the rear differential.
Remove the rear suspension stiffener (A).
