Assumed cause
The timing of scanning the
original leading edge at the
document processor is not
properly set.
The starting position for
scanning an original on the
DP is incorrect.
The starting position for
scanning an original on the

DP conveying roller 1-3 or
the bushings are dirty.
The DP conveying roller 1-
3 is worn down.
The DP conveying motor
rotates irregularly and the
excessive load is applied
to the DP drive gear.

Measures
Adjust U071 [Front Head].
Execute U411 [DP Auto Adj].
Execute U411 [DP FU(Chart
B)].
Clean the DP conveying
roller 1-3 and the bushings.
Replace the DP conveying
roller 1-3.
Apply the grease to the DP
drive gears.
Reattach the DP conveying
motor and reconnect the con-
nector. Replace it if it is not
fixed.
Measures
Clean the DPCIS roller
Clean the CIS glass and the
DP conveying guide.
Execute U091.
Reattach the DP relay PWB.
Reinsert the connectors of
the SATA cable between the
DPSHD PWB and the DP
relay PWB.
Replace the SATA cable
between the DPSHD PWB
and the DP relay PWB.
Reconnect the DPCIS to the
DPSHD PWB.
