Assumed cause
The transfer belt is dirty or
scratched.
The transfer bias is not
properly set.
The pressure roller is dirty
due to the media type set-
ting.
The conveying guide or the
developer unit is dirty.
Assumed cause
The paper is damp.
Paper is stored in the high
humidity environment.
The right DP hinge position
is not adjusted back and
forth.
The drum does not contact
the transfer belt, or the
contact is not enough.
The transfer voltage is not
properly set.

The transfer bias output
from the high-voltage PWB

Measures
When the image failure
appears in the transfer belt
circumference interval, clean
the transfer belt. Then,
replace the transfer belt unit if
the image failure is not
cleared.
Reset the transfer bias to the
default value at U106.
Clean the press roller and set
up the proper media type in
the System Menu.
Clean the conveying guide
and developer unit.
Measures
Replace the paper.
[Cassette heater standard
model]
Open the right cover (convey-
ing unit) once, and close it
firmly.
Correct the pressure position
if the transfer belt shifts.
Reset the transfer bias to the
default value at U106.
Clean the transfer bias con-
tact or correct its shape so
that it is grounded securely.
Replace the high-voltage
PWB.
