6. If the PCIe card being installed is replacing a faulty PCIe card, manually clear
the PCIe card fault using Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM).
For instructions on clearing server faults, refer to the SPARC T3 Series Servers
Administration Guide and to the Oracle ILOM documentation.
7. Refer to the documentation shipped with the PCIe card for information about
configuring the PCIe card, including installing required operating systems.
To create or recover RAID configurations, refer to the LSI MegaRAID SAS Software
User's Guide, which is available at the following location:

▼ Cable an Internal SAS HBA PCIe Card

After installing an optional internal SAS HBA PCIe card into the server, connect the
internal SAS cables attached to the hard disk drive backplane to the card.
Note – SAS HBA PCIe cards do not support SATA devices, so connecting these
system cables will disable the front-panel SATA DVD drive.
1. Install the SAS HBA PCIe card in slot 0 of the server.

2. Remove the SAS cable from the motherboard port labeled DISK0-3 and connect
it to the top HBA port.
