IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The safety precautions listed below represent warnings of certain dangers of which Safran Data Systems is aware.
They must be observed during all phases of operation, service, and repair of this equipment. Failure to comply with
these precautions or with specific warnings elsewhere in this manual violates safety standards of design, manufacture,
and intended use of the equipment.
Safran Data Systems assumes no liability for the customer's failure to comply with these requirements. You, as the user
of the product, should follow these warnings and all other safety precautions necessary for the safe operation of the
equipment in your operating environment.

GENERAL

Take heed of warning and instructions
You should read all the safety and operating instructions before operating this apparatus. Retain this
handbook for future reference and adhere to all warnings in the handbook or on the apparatus
This equipment shall not be operated in a place that may welcome children
This equipment shall not be used by children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the equipment. This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
GROUNDING & ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION STANDARDS
Grounding
To minimize shock hazard, the equipment chassis and enclosure must be connected to an
electrical ground.
Always start with plugging the mechanical ground (on the rear panel of the equipment). The
product must be connected to a protective earth ground by a green/yellow cable or by a grounding
strap with a minimum section of 1.0 mm2 / 16AWG.
The mechanical ground cord must always be the last to be disconnected.
The external ground terminal must be equipped with a locking system (Glower nut, locking washer,
etc.). If you are using a ground lug, make sure to secure the grounding connection against
accidental loosening of the conductor.
WARNING: this apparatus shall be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective earthing
connection.
The appliance must be connected to an electrical ground and the power cord is designed for
that.
