In the HDR implementation, after the last iteration the parity control is processed one more time. This
control is able to detect bit errors before and after decoding. This enables to elaborate a BER
estimation before and after the decoding and also a quality indication "Good/Bad" of the decoded
CADU.
In the Cortex HDR, the LDP decoder can be enabled in the CADU layer or in the Transport Layer if this
one is used. The selection can be done from the GUI.

Recording and Data Transmission over Ethernet

3.4.11.1

General consideration

Data transmission:
 Transmitted in real time through Ethernet, the internal buffer is 1 to 2 Gbyte
 Store in hard disk, buffer from few Gbyte to Tbyte
 Transmitted recorded data of disk in quasi real time (as soon as a file are closed delay <0.5sec)
 A mix of all those Store and transmission
Performance see performance of Ethernet transmission and storage performance.
Assuming an 12 disk and 10Gbit option, a typical 5Gbps on air application could achieved:
A real time transmission: 5Gpbs on LAN
-
A record on Disk full speed: 5Gbps
-
-
A simultaneous quasi real time with no loose of data in case of LAN/WAN issue
3.4.11.2

Data Storage

Data can be recorded on a hard disk.
The Data storage system can be according the following configuration:
Raid 0 with 4 Disk
Raid 6 with 12 Disk
Disk configuration are SSD or HDD
Disk capacity are 1 Terra byte or 2 Terra byte
