INSTALLATION, ENVIRONMENT

Installation
Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Only use attachments and accessories
specified by the manufacturer. This unit must be used in a 19" rack mount cabinet only
Lifting the unit
This apparatus weighs over 25kgs, so take extreme care when lifting or moving this unit. We
recommend that two people are available to lift this unit.
Uncontrolled temperature:
Do not leave this equipment in an uncontrolled environment where the temperature is below –20°C (-
4°F) or above 40°C (104°F). It may damage the equipment.
Heat & Moisture sources:
Do not install the equipment near a heat source or near a source of moisture. It may damage the
equipment
Ventilation:
Do not block any ventilation openings. Ensure that the product ventilation is not impeded.
Object or liquid entry
Take care that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the product chassis through any
openings.
Explosive atmosphere
WARNING: Do not operate the equipment in the presence of flammable gases or fumes. Operation
of any electrical equipment in such an environment constitutes a definite safety hazard.

ESD PROTECTIVE MEASURES

Electrostatic discharge can damage the electronic components within the system. Only personnel with
knowledge of ESD protective measures may modify the system:

Touch a grounded object to discharge any static in your body.

When performing the work, make sure that the workspace is free of static, and wear an ESD
wrist strap.

If not used, ensure that the device is protected from electrostatic discharge, e.g., by storing it in
its packaging.
