Then for each log node, the type and date of the log are specified in attributes, and the corresponding
values.

In this example, have been periodically recorded for log1 the values of the IF level (label: IFLevel_A),
Eb/N0 (label: eb_n0_A), the status of the bit synchronizer (label: bitSync_A), the status of the frame
synchronizer (label: frameSync_A).
The rules for the recording are defined inside text files named: spyconfN.txt recorded in the following
directories:
A specific window allows the user to build this control file: definition of the control parameters/status to
record, labels of these parameters, occurrence of the recording or thresholds.
An automatic erase process exists on logging folder: D:\ZDS\DATA\HDR\log\sti
A maximum size is defined in registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IN-
SNEC\CrtxHdr\SetDefault\Preferences\Global\PurgeSize_STILog). By default, install value is set to
100MBytes.
When this size is reached, oldest files are erased, exception made on "conf" folder.

Extended Logging

The extended logging is based on the same principles as the standard logging (i.e. the possibility to
periodically record each parameter defined in the STI inside a file with the selection of the parameters
defined inside a configuration text file), except that:
-
Up to 4 different data flows can be simultaneously recorded inside different log files
The start and stop of the recording for each flow can be done from the GUI or through special
-
command via the Control TCP/IP port (refer to the document STI 100013_hdr).
-
The log files are binary files. This allows to record more data simultaneously. These binary files
can be exploited off line with the tool "ReadLog.exe" delivered within the HDR software.
-
The names, paths, maximum sizes of the files are configurable through Windows Registry.
The Windows Registry is the following:
1 – To define the logging capabilities
PATH
:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\In-snec\Cortex Station\SetDefault\Log]
