Replace the Heat Shields
6. Using the tool provided with the GC, loosen the
fixing nut on the base of the detector and
remove it.
CAUTION
Pay attention not to lose the
aluminium ring inserted
between the detector head and
the base body.
7. Loosen the knurled nut that fixes the
photomultiplier tube and remove it from the
detector body.
CAUTION
The photomultiplier tube could
damage if exposed to ambient
light with the excitation voltage
set to
power supply has been
switched off before
disconnecting the tube from the
detector body.
8. Remove the interferential filter from its
housing, handling it very gently. Keep it with a
clean paper towel and put it aside.
CAUTION
not to let the filter fall down and
damage.
