SHOCK DISASSEMBLY (FOX)

1. Clamp the shock body cap securely in clamp blocks,
shaft side up. Be sure to use SOFT JAWS to prevent
damage to the shock body cap. (Alternately, a clean
towel can be used in the vice jaws to protect the body
cap.)
2. Discharge nitrogen pressure from reservoir chamber.

3. Once nitrogen pressure has been released, depress
reservoir cap and remove retaining ring. Typically a
valve shim can be used.
4. Remove the reservoir end cap using a commercially
available extractor tool.
5. Place a commercially available bearing cap removal
tool around the shock body and install supplied
retaining ring.
