A part or all of the LED board does not light up when scanning.
This error is detected if the level peak of the white plate or ADF background board
did not reach the prescribed threshold, when the white plate or ADF background
board was scanned.










Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
If SC101-02/-05/-06 is occurred, refer to the each SC solution.

Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
LED defective
IDB (LED driver) defective
BCU defective
SBU defective
IPU defective
Power/signal harness defective
Condensation in scanner unit
Mirrors or lenses dirty or positioned incorrectly
White plate dirty or installed incorrectly
ADF background board dirty
Clean the ADF background board
Reconnect the following connectors:

SBU-IPU/BCU harness connector

SBU-LED harness connector
Clean or replace the white plate on the exposure glass.
Replace the ADF background board
Clean the 1st scanner carriage (1stmirror)/2nd scanner carriage (2nd and 3rd
mirror)
Replace the SBU board (lens brock).
Replace the IPU board.
Replace the BCU board.
Replace the following harnesses:

SBU-IPU/BCU harness

SBU-LED harness
