8.Troubleshooting: Image Quality Problems
Small classification
Horizontal black (color) streaks
Black (color) streaks appearing in the direction
perpendicular to the paper feed direction.
Horizontal white streaks
Image missing in the shape of streaks in the
direction perpendicular to the paper feed
direction.
Vertical glossy streaks
Glossy streaks appearing in the paper feed
direction.
Horizontal white streaks
Glossy streaks appearing in the direction
perpendicular to the paper feed direction.
Image scratches
Stains in the shape of vertical streaks which
seem to result from being scratched by the
guide plate ribs or other parts.
Middle classification: Bands
A smudge or a white area inside an image, in a linear shape with 1mm or larger width.
