HYDRAULIC BRAKE
Install thP. r11d retainer i nto the b racket.
INSTALLATION
Apply silicone grease to th e c;i lirP-r rin and install the
caliper onto the bracket.
Insta ll the brakP. r11rls (rage 15-8).
lnst;il l and tighten the calipe r b racket bolt lo lhe spec-
ified torqu e.
TORQUE: 23 N•m (2.3 kgf•m, 17 lbf•ft)
Install the brake hose eye let to the cal iper body with
two new sea liny washe rs and t he oil bolt.
Push th e hrnkP- hose eyelet to the stopper on lh!el
caliper, then tighten the oil bolt to the spP.cifiP.d
l014u!el.
TORQUE: 34 N•m (3 .5 kgf•m, 25 lbf.ftl

15 4).

Remove the mai n footpcg bracket mounti ng bolts anrl
bracket ass!elmbly from the lower bracket.
Remove and d iscard the b rake pedal joi nt cnttAr pin.
R!el111uve the joint pin.
Unhook t he return spring and rP-mnvP- th e brake light
switch from t he step holder.
U nhook the brake pedal t!el lum sprin!:J.
Remove the sna p ring, th rust washer, and wave wash-
er.
Remove t he hr;ike peda l from t he pivot.
