Used eng ine oil may cause skin cancer if repeat edly left in contact with the skin fur prolonged periods. Although t his is
unlikely unless you han dle usb!d oil on a daily basis, it is sti ll advisab le to thorough ly wash your h1rnds w ith soap and
watb!r as soon as possible after h,rndling used oil.
The o il pu mp can be serviced with the engine installed in the frame.
The service procedures in this section m ust be f)P.rformP.d with the engine oil drained.
Wh en removing Etnd rnstalling t he oi l pu mp, use care not to allow dust or dirt to ente r the eng ine.
If any portion of the oil pu m p is worn beyond the specified serv ice l im its, replace the oil pump as an assembly.
After the oil pump has been installed, check that there are no o il leaks 1rnrl thEtt o il p ressure is correct.
