lnst8II the cam chain tensiuner lifter o nto the cylinder
hc:id w it h a new gasket.
lnst11II new sealing washers and tighten the mounting
bolts to the specified torque.
TORQU E: 10 N•m (1.0 kgf•m, 7 lbf•ft)
Remove the fullowing:
- The rmostat hnusing (poge 6-7)
- C:11mshaft (see below)
CAMSHAFT INSTALLATION
Apply molybdenum oil sol11t1on to the outer surface of
each valve lift11r.

Install the shims and valve littArs into t he v:ilve lifter
ar,d valve

If the cam sprockets are rem oved, inst~II the cam
sprockets onto th-.. cam sh afts.
lnst.!!II the intoke cam sprocket w ith the timi ng mark
CINI faci ng o utward and the No. 1 Cl!m l obes faci ng
up and out as shown .
Install the exhaust cam sprocket willl the timing
mark (EX) facing outward and th e No.1 cam lobes
facing up and out as shown.
Clean the cam sprocket hnlt and apply a locking agent
to the thr11,111s.
Install the cam sprocket I.JUll,;.
