PISTON INSPECTION
Temporarily in stal l the piston rings to thP.ir rrop er
position with the mark facing up.
Measure the pist on ring-to-ring groovP. clearance with
the ri ngs pushed into the g rooves.
SERVICE LIMITS:
Top/second: 0.08 mm (0.003 in)
lnsP.rt the piston ring squa rely into the bottom of the
cylinder and measure the ring end gap.
SERVICE
LIMITS:
Top: 0. 4 mm {0.02 in)
Second: 0.5 mm (0.02 in)
Oil

rail): 1.0 mm (0.04 In)
Measu re th e piston pin bore.
SERVICE LIMIT: 17.02 mm (0.670
