BRAKE BLEEDING
Connect a clear b leed hose to the bleed volve.
PumJJ thti ltivtir or ptidal until therti are no air bubbles
in t he flu id flowing out of the master cyl inder, a nd
lever or pedol resistonee is felt.
1. Squeeze the b ra ke lever or push the brake pedal,
open the bleed valve 1/2 of a tu rn and then r.lose the
valve.
2. Release the hr11kP. IP.ver or pedal until the bleed
valve has been closed.
RP.pP.at st eps 1 and 2 until bubb les cease to appear in
the fluid coming out of the bleed valve .
"Tig hte n the bleed va lve .
TORQU E: 6 N·m (0.6 kgf•m, 4.3 lbf.ftl
Fill the fluid rese,voir lo lhti UJJptir level.
Reinsta ll the diaphragm and diophrogm plate.
Install the reservoi r cap, and tighten the screws to the
specified torque.
TORQUE: 2 N·m 10.2 l<gf•m, 1.4 lbf.ft)
Install the reservo ir t;ap ~ticu rely, then install t he
reservoir o nto the seat r11i l 11nd tighten the m ount i ng
bolt/nu t to the specified torq ue.
TORQUE: 12 N•m (1.2 kgf•m, 9 lbf•ft)
