Crank the eng ine with the starter motor and
measure t he ignition pulse generator peak volt·
11ge at the ignition pulse generator 2P connec-
tor.
Connection: Yellow
(+) -
Yellow/White (-)
Standard: 0.7 V minimum (20"C/ 68.FI

Cn nn ect the ignition p ulse generator 2P con·
ncctor.
Disconnect the ECM connecto rs.
Connect the test harness to ECM connectors.
Crank the engi ne with the starter motor and
meosure the ignitio n pulse gene, ator peak volt·
age at th e Lest harness t erminals.
Conneetion: 81 1

Replace the ECM with a
new one, and i nspect it
again.
