FRONT WHEEL/ SUSPENSION/STEERING
Note the rotating direction morks on the wheel and
tire.
Remove the rl11st seals from the whee l.
Mount the wheel, tire and brake disc assernuly in an
i nspection st antl.
Spin the wheel, allow it to stop, and mork the lowest
(hP.l'lviest) point of the w heel with a cha lk.
Do this two or three times lo verify the heaviest area.
If the wheel is balanced, it w ill not stop consistently in
t he samP. position.
To balance th e wheel, i nstall w hee l weights on the
h ighest sidP. of the rim, the side opposite the cha lk
marks. Add just enough we ight so the wli!!el wi ll no
longer stop in the sam e position whe n it is srrnn. Do
1101 add m ore than nO grams to the w heel.
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the bolts and brakP. discs.
Rem ove the dust seals.
Install the bearing remover head into t he l>earing.
From the opposite side, install the bearing remover
shaft and drive the bearing out of the wheel hub.
Remove the distance collar and drive out the oth!!r
bearing.
