BEARING INSTALLATION
Clean th e beoring outer surfaces and cr11 nkr.nse bear-
iny supports.
Install the main journal bearing inserts onto the
cronkcase bearing supports, nligning each tab with
each g roove.

Remove the cran kshaft (page 12-3).
BEARING INSPECTION
Check the bearing inserts for unusual wea r o r peeling.
Check the bearin g labs fur damaqe.
