Using a

seat cutter, cut the Sl!c1l to the proper 1
width.

Make sure that all rrttrng and irregularities a re
removed.
Refinish if necessary.
After cuttiny lhe seat, aprly lapprng compound to the
valve face, 11nd lap the valve usi ng light pressurt1.
NOTICE
Excessive lapping pressure may rl11form or domagc
lire seat.
Ch11ng11 the angle of the lapping tool /ri,quently to
prcvenc uneven seat w11a1.
• Do nut allow any lapprng compound co encer the
guides.
After lappiny, wash all re:sir1ual compound off the
cylinder hear1 1ind valve.
