7. Connect multimeter (ohms setting) leads to relay terminals 30 and 87.
Ground terminal 86 and apply +12 VDC to terminal 85. The relay should
make and break continuity between terminals 30 and 87 as +voltage is
applied and removed from terminal 85.
8. Connect multimeter (ohms setting) leads to relay terminals 30 and 87A. Apply
+12 VDC to terminal 85. The relay should make and break continuity between
terminals 30 and 87A as +12 VDC is applied and removed from terminal 85.
9. Replace the relay as necessary.
10. If the relay tests correctly and a circuit problem still exists, check the wire
harnesses; refer to
11. Install the relay and connect the wire harness.
12. Connect the battery negative (-) cable at the 12V system battery (model
04580), or connect the 48V battery disconnect (model 04590) before
returning the machine to service.
