REMOVE AND INSTALL SEAL, PISTON,
BOOT, BLEEDER PLUG AND PARKING
BRAKE CAM
REMOVAL
1) Before disassembly, clean all around caliper with brake fluid.
2) Remove piston boot around the piston.
3) Remove piston by turning the manual adjustment gear clock-
wise with an Allen wrench until the manual adjustment gear can
be turned very lightly. Then pull out piston from caliper.
CAUTION:
Do not disassemble parts inside the piston.
If those parts are defective, replace piston as an as-
sembly.
4) Remove piston seal using a thin blade like a thickness gauge,
etc.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage inside (bore side) of cylinder.
5) Remove bleeder plug and cap from caliper.
6) Remove adjuster screw by first removing snap ring using spe-
cial tool.
Special tool:
09952-76011
7) Then pull out adjuster screw.
