TROUBLESHOOTING
STEP
1 Was "A / T DIAGNOSTIC FLOW TABLE" performed?
2 Check Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit.
1) Disconnect TCM connectors with ignition switch OFF.
2) Check for proper connection to input shaft speed sensor
at E25-5 and E25-17 terminals.
3) If OK, check resistance for sensor circuit.
Resistance between
E25-5 and E25-17
Resistance between
E25-5/ E25-17 and ground : No continuity
Are check result satisfactory?
3 Check Input Shaft Speed Sensor for Resistance.
1) Disconnect sensor connector with ignition switch OFF.
2) Check for proper connection to sensor at terminals
C32-1 and C32-2.
3) If OK, then check resistance of sensor. See Fig. 1.
Are measured values as specified in Step 2?
4 Check Visually Input Shaft Speed Sensor and Forward
Clutch Drum Using Mirror for the Followings. See Fig. 2.
D No damage
D No foreign material attached
D Correct installation
Are they in good condition?

YES
Go to Step 2. Go to "A / T
DIAGNOSTIC
FLOW TABLE".
Go to Step 4. Go to Step 3.
"R" or "G" circuit open Replace input
or short. shaft speed sen-
sor.
Intermittent trouble or Clean, repair or
faulty TCM. replace.
Check for intermittent
referring to "INTER-
MITTENT AND
POOR CONNEC-
TION" in Section 0A.
