D Use specified torque as given below.
Tightening Torque
(a): 55 N·m (5.5 kg-m, 40.0 lb-ft)
(b): 20 N·m (2.0 kg-m, 14.5 lb-ft)
(c): 33 N·m (3.3 kg-m, 24.0 lb-ft)
(d): 35 – 55 N·m (3.5 – 5.5 kg-m, 25.5 – 39.5 lb-ft)
(e): 25 N·m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 lb-ft)
D For installing each part, refer to respective section as indicated be-
low.
[1.3 L, 1.6 L engine and 1.8 L engine RH models]
– Drive shaft
– Exhaust pipe No.2
– Mounting member
– Engine rear mounting bracket (2WD)
– Engine rear torque bush/bracket (4WD)
– Gear shift control shaft For M/T
– Extension rod
[1.8 L engine model]
– Exhaust pipe No.2
– Mounting member
– Engine rear mounting bracket
D After installation, be sure to fill specified power steering fluid and
bleed air.
D Check toe setting. Adjust as required. (Refer to Front End Align-
ment.)
D [1.8 L engine LH model]
When installing high pressure hose to steering gear box, make sure
that the high pressure hose (pipe) does not contact any object
around it, especially the gear shift linkages, and heater hoses.
