TROUBLESHOOTING
STEP
1 Check DTC by "O / D OFF" Lamp Blinking Pattern.
1) Using service wire, connect diagnosis switch
terminal to ground terminal. See Fig. 1.
2) Turn ignition switch ON.
Does blinking of "O / D OFF" lamp indicate malfunction
DTC?
2 Check Diagnosis Switch Terminal Circuit.
1) Disconnect service wire from diagnosis switch
terminal and ground terminal with ignition switch
OFF.
2) Turn ignition switch ON.
3) Check voltage between diagnosis switch terminal
and body ground.
Is it 10 – 14 V?

Check TCM ground
circuit for open.
If ground circuit is
OK, substitute a
known-good TCM
and recheck.
