3G-12 SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
CODE NO.13 STEERING SENSOR CIRCUIT
(SENSOR CIRCUIT OPEN: SIGNAL VOLTAGE HIGH)
1. Remove suspension control module and connect
couplers to suspension control module.
2. With ignition switch ON, check voltage at B1 and
B2 terminals of suspension control module.
3. Turn steering wheel slowly. Does voltmeter indi-
cator deflect between 0 – 0.5V and 2.5 – 3.5V?
NO
1. Disconnect steering sensor coupler with ignition
switch OFF.
2. Check voltage between "B/R" and "R/W" terminal
of disconnected steering sensor coupler with igni-
tion switch ON.
3. Is it about 4.5 – 5.5V?
YES
Check steering sensor referring to "STEERING
SENSOR" in this section.
Is it OK?
YES
"Y" or "B/Y" wire open.

3. Suspension control module coupler
4. Suspension control module

(Viewed from harness side)
1. Suspension control module
2. B1 terminal
Poor B1 and/or B2 connection.
If connections are OK, substitute a known-good sus-
pension control module and recheck.
1. Disconnected steering sensor coupler (main harness)
2. Voltmeter
"R/W" wire open or poor B12 connection.
If wire harness and connections are OK, substitute
a known-good suspension control module and re-
check.
Faulty steering sensor.
3. B2 terminal
4. Voltmeter
YES
NO
NO
