INSTALLATION
1) Install caliper carrier to knuckle.
Tightening Torque for caliper carrier
50 N·m (5.0 kg-m, 36.0 lb-ft)
2) Install caliper to caliper carrier.
3) Install caliper pin bolt.
Tightening Torque
(a) : 38 N·m (3.8 kg-m, 27.5 lb-ft)
NOTE:
Make sure that boots are fit into groove securely.
4) Install cap to caliper pin bolt.
5) Install parking brake cable bracket to caliper.
Tightening Torque for bracket bolt
46 N·m (4.6 kg-m, 33.0 lb-ft)
6) Install parking brake cable clip and pin.
NOTE:
Make sure that the direction of pin is in specified direction.
7) Turn manual adjustment gear clockwise with an Allen wrench
until the caliper's piston pushes lightly the pad to the disc. Then
turn manual adjustment gear 1/3 turn counterclockwise.
NOTE:
Check that the brake does not drag after all installations
are done.
8) Install brake flexible hose as shown and torque hose
mounting bolt to specification.
Tightening Torque
(b): 23 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 Ib-ft)
9) Torque wheel nuts to specification by referring to "TORQUE
SPECIFICATION" in this section.
10) After completing installation, fill reservoir with brake fluid
and bleed brake system. Perform brake test and check each
installed part for oil leakage.
