Low Engine Oil Level Warning Light Symptom Diagnosis (If Equipped)
NOTE:
There are three types of vehicle below. Refer to corresponding table for symptom diagnosis.
• Vehicle with wire harness for low engine oil level warning light between "G22-20" and "G83-3" wire
harness.
• Vehicle without wire harness for low engine oil level warning light between "G22-20" and "G83-3"
wire harness.
• Vehicle whose wire harness for low engine oil level warning light is cut at "G83-3" connector side
("G83-3" wire harness of instrument panel harness "G83" connector located in the back of the
glove box is cut).
Vehicle with Wire Harness for Low Engine Oil Level Warning Light
Condition
Low engine oil level
warning light does not
light up when low

warning light stays ON
Vehicle without Wire Harness for Low Engine Oil Level Warning Light and Vehicle whose Wire Harness
for Low Engine Oil Level Warning Light is Cut.

Correction
Replace fuse to circuit for short.
Repair circuit.
Check engine oil level switch refer-
ring to "Engine Oil Level Switch
Inspection" in Section 6E3.
Check combination meter circuit
referring to "Combination Meter Cir-
cuit" in this section.
Check ECM referring to "C-38, Oil
Level Telltale Circuit" in Section 6-3.
Refill engine oil referring to "Engine
Oil and Oil Filter Replacement" in
Section 0B.
Repair circuit.
Check engine oil level switch refer-
ring to "Engine Oil Level Switch
Inspection" in Section 6E3.
Check combination meter circuit
referring to "Combination Meter Cir-
cuit" in this section.
Check ECM referring to "C-38, Oil
Level Telltale Circuit" in Section 6-3.
Correction
Repair wiring harness.
Replace combination meter.
