Quidway S9300 Terabit Routing Switch
Configuration Guide - Multicast
Do as follows on the S9300s that need to establish anycast RP.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
msdp
The MSDP view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
originating-rp interface-type interface-number
The logical RP interface is configured.
The logical RP interface must be different from the actual RP interface. It is recommended that
you configure the logical RP interface as the MSDP peer interface.
After you run the originating-rp command, the SA message sent by the S9300 contains the
logical RP address instead of the actual RP address. The SA message can pass the RPF check
when the message reaches the MSDP peer.

Example
Run the display pim routing-table command, and you can view the RP information in the PIM
routing table. The following is an example.
<Quidway> display pim routing-table
VPN-Instance: public net

(10.11.1.2, 225.1.1.1)
Issue 01 (2009-07-28)
Run the display msdp brief command to check the brief information about the status of
the MSDP peer.
Run the display pim routing-table command to check the RP information in the PIM
routing table.
RP: 7.7.7.7 (local)
Protocol: pim-sm, Flag: SPT ACT
UpTime: 00:01:57
Upstream interface: Vlanif20
Upstream neighbor: 10.3.1.2
