4 PIM-SM Configuration
According to the preceding information, the PIM BSR administrative domain is enabled on
VLANIF 15.
Run the display pim bsr-info command, and you can view the BSR information.

Applicable Environment
When the first group member appears on an S9300, the S9300 sends a Join message through the
upstream interface, requiring the upstream device to forward messages to this network segment.
When the last group member leaves, the S9300 sends a Prune message through the upstream
interface, requesting the upstream device to perform the prune operation and to stop forwarding
multicast data to this network segment. If other downstream multicast devices exist in this
network segment, they must send Join messages to override the prune operation.
In the ASM model, an S9300 periodically sends Join messages to the RP to prevent the RPT
branch from being deleted because of timeout.
