4 PIM-SM Configuration
On the S9300, VLANIF interfaces and loopback interfaces support PIM.
Step 3 Run:
multicast boundary group-address { mask | mask-length }
The boundary of the BSR administrative domain is configured.
After the BSR administrative domain is configured, the multicast packets that belong to the BSR
administrative domain cannot pass through the boundary. S9300s outside this boundary cannot
forward the multicast packets that belong to this BSR administrative domain.

4.9.4 Changing the Values of C-BSR Parameters in the Domain

The C-BSR parameters can be set in the following cases:

BSR administrative domain. The configuration in the BSR administrative domain takes
precedence over the global configuration. If the C-BSR parameters are not set in the BSR
administrative domain, the global configuration is used.
Global domain. The configuration in the global domain takes precedence over the global
configuration. If the C-BSR parameters are not set in the global domain, the global
configuration is used.
Global configuration. The global configuration is valid in the global domain and each BSR
domain. For the setting of global C-BSR parameters, see
Parameters.
Setting the C-BSR parameters in a BSR administrative domain

system-view
The system view is displayed.

Run:
pim
The PIM view is displayed.
3.
Run:
c-bsr group group-address { mask | mask-length } [ hash-length hash-
length | priority priority ]
The C-BSR parameters are set in a BSR administrative domain.
group-address { mask | mask-length }: specifies the range of multicast groups that

the C-BSR serves. The range of valid multicast groups is in 239.0.0.0/8.
hash-length: specifies the Hash mask length of the C-BSR.

priority: specifies the C-BSR priority.
