Applicable Environment
In a PIM-SM network, S9300s exchange Hello messages to establish the neighbor relation, to
negotiate various control parameters, and to elect DRs.
S9300s configured with default values can work normally. You can change the values of relevant
parameters according to the specific network environment. If there is no special requirement,
default values are recommended.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before setting the neighbor control parameters, complete the following task:

To set the neighbor control parameters, you need the following data.

PIM hello override interval (configured): 2500 ms

PIM neighbor tracking (negotiated): disabled

PIM hello hold interval: 105 s
PIM assert hold interval: 3600 s
PIM triggered hello delay: 5 s
PIM J/P interval: 60 s
PIM J/P hold interval: 210 s
PIM state-refresh capability on link: non-capable
PIM BSR domain border: disabled
PIM BFD: disabled
PIM dr-switch-delay timer : not configured
Number of routers on link not using DR priority: 0
Number of routers on link not using LAN delay: 0
Number of routers on link not using neighbor tracking: 1
Configuring the unicast routing protocol to ensure that IP routes between nodes are
reachable
