FAIL-SAFE TABLE

When any of the following DTCs is detected, ECM enters fall-safe mode as long as malfunction continues to exist
but that mode is canceled when ECM detects normal condition after that.

FAIL SAFE OPERATION
Injector drive time (fuel injection vol-
ume) is determined according to
throttle valve operating (idle position
or not).
ENGINE control is performed on the
basis of 40_C intake air temp.
D ENGINE control is performed on
the basis of 80_C engine coolant
temp.
D A/T control is performed on the
basis of 31_C engine coolant
temp.
D ENGINE control is performed on
the basis of 8 deg. throttle opening.
D A/T control is performed on the
basis of 0 % throttle position.
ENGINE control is performed on the
basis of 10 km/h vehicle speed.
And air flow at IAC valve is limited.
A/T control is performed in priority
order of L, 2, N, D and R when more
than one of R, D, N, 2 and L signals
are inputted simultaneously.
A/T control is performed by using
signal from VSS.

Vehicle speed sensor signal is
detected.
Single signal is inputted.
Detected vehicle speed signal is 10
km/h (6 mph) or more.
Monitor signal ON is detected
when solenoid A (#1) is ON and
: OFF monitor signal OFF is detected
when it is OFF.
Monitor signal ON is detected
when solenoid B (#2) is ON and
: OFF monitor signal OFF is detected
when it is OFF.
Monitor signal ON is detected
when TCC control solenoid is ON
and monitor signal OFF is detected
when it is OFF.
