BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
CAUTION:
Allowing the switch body
to
turn during adjustment
can brake the wires in the switch.
NOTE:
• The brake light switch on the front brake lever
cannot be adjusted. Ifthe front brake light switch
actuation and brake engagement a re off, either
replace the switch unit or the malfunctioning parts
of the system .
• Make all rear brake light switch adjustments after
the height adjustment and the brake pedal free
play adjustment have been made.
Check the brake light switch operation and
adjustment by applying the brakes. Visually inspect
for any damage and make sure the reflector plate is
clean within the light.
Adjust the rear brake light switch so that the brake
light comes on just prior to come on, adjust the
switch so that the light comes on at the proper time.
Turn the adjusting nut on the brake light switch and
