ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH
The flywheel bolt has left hand threads.
Hold the flywheel using the flywheel holder.
SHAFT
07725-0040000 or
equivalent commercially
available in U.S.A.
Apply engine oil to the flywheel bolt threads and
seating su rface.
Install and tighten the flywheel bolt to the specified
torque. REDUCTION GEAR
Install the washer.
CAUTION:
TOOL:
Flywheel holder
TORQUE: 128 Nom (13.0 kgfom, 94 Ibfoft)
Check the starter reduction gear, shaft and journal
for wear or damage.
Check the starter idle gear, shaft and journal for wear IDLE GEAR
or damage.
SHAFT
Apply engine oil to the starter reduction gear, starter
idle gear and shafts.
Install the starter reduction gear, starter idle gear and
shafts to the left crankcase as assembly.
NOTE:
Install the starter drive gear with its
"our
mark
facing out.
Install the stator and left crankcase cover (page 9-10).
