CRANKSHAFT/TRANSMISSION
SHIFT DRUM/SHIFT DRUM BEARING
Remove the bolt and gearshift cam plate.
Remove the dowel pin and bearing.

Remove the dowel pins from the gearshift cam plate.
Inspect the shift drum for scoring, scratches or evi-
dence of insufficient lubrication.
Check the shift drum grooves for abnormal wear or
damage.
Turn the inner race of bearing with your finger. The
bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
