ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH
STATOR REMOVAL
Remove the left footpeg and gearshift pedal (page
8-12).
Remove the left rear cover (page 7-3).
Place a container under the left crankcase cover to
catch the engine oil.
Loosen the left
Remove the eleven left crankcase cover bolts and
crankcase cover

CAUTION:

The left crankcase cover (stator) is magnetically
attached
to
the flywheel, be careful during removal.
Remove the gasket and dowel pins.
Remove the socket bolts and stator wire holder from
the left crankcase cover.
