Axle - Honda 1998 VT750C Service Manual

FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Remove the axle bolt, axle and front wheel.
NOTE:
Do not operate the front brake lever after removing
the front wheel. This will make it difficult to fit the
brake disc between the brake pads.
Remove the side collar.
Remove the speedometer gear box.
INSPECTION
AXLE
Set the front axle in V-blocks and measure the
runout.
Turn the front axle and measure the runout using a
dial indicator.
Actual runout is 1/2 the total indicator reading.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
