CYLINDER HEAD/VALVES
CAMSHAFT HOLDER DISASSEMBLY
<EXHAUST>
NOTE:
The front cylinder camshaft holder service uses
the same procedure as the rear cylinder camshaft
holder.
Remove the exhaust rocker arm shaft, exhaust rocker
arm and wave washer (12 mm) from the camshaft
holder.
Remove the intake rocker arm shaft, intake rocker <INTAKE>
arms and wave washers (12 mm) from the camshaft
holder.

Remove the varve adjuster lock nut and valve adjust- ADJUSTING SCREW
ing screw.

INSPECTION
CAMSHAFT RUNOUT
Support both ends of the camshaft with V-blocks and
check the camshaft runout with a dial indicator.
Actual runout is 1/2 the total indicator reading.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.05 mm (0.002 in)
