Run the Web browser.

Type the address "http:// (IP address of the printer for which you want to
change the settings)".
The status of the selected printer is displayed on the Web browser.

Click [Configuration].
A dialog box that prompts you to type the user name and a password appears.

Type the user name and the password, and then click [OK].
Type only the password in this dialog box. The factory default password is
"password".

Change names and comments.
TCP/IP
A Click [General], and then type the name into the [Device Name:] box and a
comment into the [Comment] box.
• In the [Device Name:] box, enter the name of the printer using less than 13
characters. The factory default name consists of "RNP" and the last 3
bytes of the MAC address on the Network Interface Board. For example,
when the MAC address is 00:00:74:62:7D:D5, the factory default name is
"RNP627DD5". No name of 9 characters is permitted if the prefix is
"RNP". Also, when DHCP is selected as an IP address setting, the
number of characters is limited to 13 characters.
• In the [Comment] box, type a comment about printer using less than 31
characters.
NetBEUI
A Click [NetBEUI].
B Type the name into the [Computer Name] box and a comment into the [Com-
ment] box.
• In the [Computer Name] box, type a name that helps you to identify print-
ers using the NetBEUI protocol. The factory default name consists of
"RNP" and the last 3 bytes of the MAC address on the Network Inter-
face Board. For example, when the MAC address is 00:00:74:62:7D:D5,
the factory default name is "RNP627DD5". A maximum of 13 characters
consisting of uppercase English letters, numbers, or symbols (except
"*+,/:;<=>?[\]|. and space) can be used. No name is permitted if the
prefix is "RNP". You must avoid using a name already used.
