Configuring a Windows NT computer
These steps are for configuring a Windows NT computer to use the TCP/IP pro-
tocol.

Open [Control Panel] and double-click the [Network] icon. Make sure that
"TCP/IP Protocol" is listed in the [Network Protocols:] box on the [Protocols]
tab.
Note
If the TCP/IP protocol is not installed, click [Add] on the [Protocols] tab to
install it. For more information about installing the TCP/IP protocol, see
Windows NT Help.

Configure the TCP/IP protocols with the appropriate IP address, subnet

mask and other settings.
Check with the network administrator that the settings are correct.

Click the [Services] tab, and make sure that "Microsoft TCP/IP Printing" is
installed.
If "Microsoft TCP/IP Printing" is not installed, click [Add] on the [Services] tab
to install it. For more information about installing and configuring network
services, see Windows NT Help.
Configuring NetBEUI for Printing
These instructions are for configuring the Network Interface Board and Win-
dows NT to use the NetBEUI protocol.
Configuring the machine
Configure the machine to use the NetBEUI protocol.
• Make sure that the NetBEUI protocol is set to active. (The default is active.)

The NetBEUI settings are performed in Web Status Monitor or SmartDevice-
Monitor for Admin. See the corresponding online Help for details.
