Installing a TX-CIP

To install a TX-CIP (see Figure 89 on page 228):
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Grasp the TX-CIP handle with one hand and hold the bottom edge of the TX-CIP with

the other hand to support its weight.
NOTE: The components on the TX-CIP are on the left side of the board,
unlike the components of a TX-SIB, which are on the right side. Verify that
the components are on the left before inserting the TX-CIP.
Insert the TX-CIP into its chassis slot, carefully aligning the top and bottom of the

TX-CIP with the guides in the card cage.
